Respite Care
What is respite care?
Respite care is an opportunity for both a person living with a disability and their families or carer to have a break. It involves temporary alternative care to take place while the usual care givers take some time away from their caring responsibilities.
What type of respite care can you receive?
Respite care for the disabled can be offered in various ways. People require respite care for different reasons and periods of time, so here at Care Assure we will work out a plan that best suits you and your carer’s needs. This may include:
- Short term accommodation (STA) and assistance
- Support to participate in community activities so your carers can have a break
- Temporary periods of personal support and NDIS services so you can stay at home when your family/carers are not available
